    Job Description

    The **StrataJazz Application Analyst** is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the StrataJazz platform used for budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and financial reporting. This role serves as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and end-users to ensure the accurate and effective use of StrataJazz and related financial tools. The analyst will also be responsible for developing custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to support strategic financial decision-making across the organization.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    + Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

    Experience

    + Four years of solid, diverse work experience in IT

    + 2–5 years of experience in financial systems, application support, or FP&A roles.

    + Hands-on experience with StrataJazz highly preferred or similar enterprise financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Oracle Hyperion, Workday Adaptive Planning).

    + Strong Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.

    + Familiarity with SQL, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and data architecture concepts.

    + Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Healthcare industry experience preferred

    + Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, Lawson, SAP).

    + Knowledge of financial and operational KPIs, particularly in a healthcare or large enterprise setting.

    + Experience in change management and end-user training.

     

    Compensation Statement

     

    The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $82,000.00 - $123,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

    Responsibilities

    1. Serve as the subject matter expert for the StrataJazz platform, including modules such as Operating Budgeting, Capital Planning, and Long-Range Planning.

    2. Provide day-to-day administration of the StrataJazz application, including user access, role management, data integrity, and system configurations.

    3. Coordinate and execute system updates, patches, and upgrades in collaboration with IT and Strata Decision Technology (SDT).

    4. Troubleshoot technical issues and work with SDT support to resolve complex problems.

    5. Design, build, and maintain custom reports and dashboards within StrataJazz and related reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel).

    6. Translate business requirements into effective reports and visualizations for finance, operations, and executive leadership.

    7. Ensure data consistency and accuracy across reports and source systems.

    8. Collaborate with finance, clinical, and operational teams to identify reporting needs, improve workflows, and enhance system utilization.

    9. Assist with the annual budget cycle and rolling forecast processes by maintaining templates, assumptions, and scenario planning tools within StrataJazz.

    10. Document processes, develop user guides, and provide training to end-users on system functionalities and best practices.

    11. Work with IT and data warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely data feeds from source systems (e.g., ERP, payroll, GL, patient accounting) into StrataJazz.

    12. Monitor data integrity and perform reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.

    13. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
