Job Description
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai / Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Psychologist with Expertise in CBT to treat patients with mood, anxiety and OCD disorders within our Centralized Faculty Practice Program

This position is open at the Mount Sinai Hospital, located on the Upper East Side of New York city, adjacent to the Icahn School of Medicine. Mount Sinai Hospital is a 1,171 bed tertiary-care facility internationally acclaimed for excellence in clinical care, education and scientific research.
Purpose of Position:
The psychologist in this position will be responsible for providing specialized evaluations, treatment planning and ongoing outpatient clinical care to adult patient who present with a range of mental health conditions. This position allows for a special focus on patients with mood disorders as well as those with OCD and related disorders, including Tourette syndrome, body focused repetitive behaviors, and other anxiety-based disorders such as social anxiety, generalized anxiety and phobia. The position requires a clinician with a high level of skill and competence in differential diagnosis and application of specialized therapies. Skill and experience in the successful application of the following therapies is required: Cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT) such as Exposure and Response Prevention, Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics, Habit Reversal Therapy, motivational interviewing, and other forms of pertinent cognitive behavioral therapies. Experience with other CBT approaches as well as DBT approaches will also be relevant. The candidate should also be comfortable working in collaboration with an interdisciplinary clinical team including MDs, NPs and LCSWs to deliver outstanding clinical service in a team based approach. Opportunities exist to establish group therapy approaches and the program is open to additional clinical programming should the candidate have additional expertise they would like to apply. While primarily a clinical position, opportunities exist to provide clinical supervision to residents, fellows, doctoral students and other clinicians as well as formal teaching and lectures in their areas of expertise.

Qualifications
+ Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical, school, or counseling psychology
+ Completion of APA-approved clinical pre-doctoral internship
+ New York State psychology license
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to work as a member of a clinical team
+ Excellent clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents
+ Experience treating OCD, Tics, and Related Disorders, and/or mood and anxiety disorders
+ Expertise in specialized cognitive behavioral therapies, such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), and Habit Reversal Therapy (HRT). Experience in DBT and related therapies is a plus.
+ Experience in providing evidence-based treatment to a diverse population
+ Excellent writing skills and ability to manage responsibilities of documentation
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups
+ Understanding of best practices in diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapy
Compensation range from Days 72K to 87K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.

Responsibilities
+ Diagnostic evaluations of patients with a wide range of mental health symptoms
+ Therapeutic management of adult patients with mental health symptoms with an emphasis on treatment patients with mood, anxiety, OCD and related disorders using CBT approaches to treatment.
+ Participation in interdisciplinary team rounds for the purpose of treatment planning for patients receiving services from the Centralized Faculty Practice Program
+ Attend clinical and administrative team meetings and supervision
+ Work collaboratively with other team members.
