    The **Director of Marketing Analytics** role is a critical part of the **Digital Marketing and Media Team** . Positioned between the convergence of Data, Analytics, and Business Strategy – you are the key lead on bringing things together to both drive alignment across the group, as well as influence and direct strategic change across the organization. The role reports to the Senior Director of Marketing Operations and Technology, and will partner with the other leaders to define and deliver an analytics and reporting strategy that uses our limited resources while maximizing the volume and impact of the reporting and insights we can generate.

     

    The ideal candidate has to be highly analytical and inquisitive by nature – and have a deep understanding not only of the data itself, but also of the business problems we’re trying to solve for. They also need to be an excellent communicator, able to work across teams to drive complex topic consensus with competing needs and agendas, and then clearly communicate those outcomes to executive leaders across the company.

    Responsibilities

    Data & Insights

    + Analyze complex data sets and distill them into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.

    + Lead a team of 15 Managed Service Provider Analysts on the day to day to provide overall analytics and KPI support for the Digital Marketing and Media team.

    + Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.

    + Create the best attribution and incrementality methodologies – driving cutting edge data analytics for marketing.

    + Understand testing needs (A/B, multivariate) to continuously improve creative, targeting, and bidding strategies.

    + Work with partners to develop AI applications for reporting agents, allowing on-demand reporting and insights for internal clients.

    + Lead team MBR and QBR efforts, standardizing the template and KPIs across the team, and project managing the monthly cadence of data updates and aligning the overall analytics narratives.

    Paid Media Analytics Strategy & Execution

    + Work with the media team partners to align and optimize campaign Analytics across **Meta, Google (Search, Display, YouTube), TikTok, Snap, Programmatic Display, and Search Ads** .

    + Develop a full-funnel media analytics strategy aligned with business objectives and KPIs.

    + Monitor performance in real-time and recommend data-driven adjustments to maximize ROI.

    Stakeholder Management

    + Lead executive-level conversations to align strategy, performance, and trade-offs.

    + Navigate a matrixed organization, collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, finance, analytics, and product teams.

    + Present findings and recommendations with clarity and confidence.

    Leadership & Ownership

    + Ownership over channel performance, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and solutions. Web, Paid, email, In Product and Store, Game Pass.

    Qualifications

    Required/minimum qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years of marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience

    + OR equivalent experience

    + 5+ years of hands-on paid media experience, with proven results managing large budgets

    + 5+ years of experience on performance metrics and dashboards for internal team stakeholders

    + Knowledge and experience of defining compound index metrics, different attribution models and their strengths / weaknesses, both at the campaign, asset, and user segment or individual level

    + Expertise across Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, DV360, TikTok Ads Manager, Snapchat Ads, and Search platforms

    + Analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel/Sheets, PowerBI, and other BI tools

    + Experience simplifying complex concepts and tailor messaging for executive stakeholders

    + Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization and influence without direct authority & demonstrate a bias for action, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently

    Preferred qualifications

    + Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years of marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years of marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience

    + OR equivalent experience

    + 6+ years technology/process improvement experience

    + Familiarity with MMM, MTA, incrementality testing, and clean room solutions

    + Experience with SQL or Python for deeper campaign analysis

    + Knowledge of gaming, entertainment, or subscription businesses is a plus

     

    Marketing Technology IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
