Within CO+I, Datacenter Construction Delivery (DCD) is responsible for delivering datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s cloud business meeting all safety, quality, sustainability, schedule, and budget requirements. The DCD **Construction Project Manager** provides critical leadership, ownership and accountability for the team's deployment and delivery of large-scale, campus and/or regionally based delivery solutions to predictably deliver Datacenter capacity.
This role leads the delivery of highly complex, high-impact projects by driving strategic planning, resource alignment, and risk management to ensure predictable outcomes. It builds trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, acts as the voice of the customer, and oversees contracting, financial governance, and project closure. The position also contributes globally by sharing best practices and fostering industry impact.
This role is located in **San Antonio, TX.** Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates should relocate and reside within 50 miles of the **San Antonio** office location.

Responsibilities
+ **Drive Strategic Delivery:** Manage end-to-end delivery lifecycle (envisioning, planning, execution) for complex, high-impact projects; lead steering committees and executive communications.
+ **Customer & Business Growth:** Identify and accelerate cloud consumption opportunities, manage backlog risk, and support incremental business through proposals and pursuit cycles.
+ **Financial & Risk Management:** Ensure fiscal health of projects (budget, forecasting, profitability), oversee risk mitigation strategies, and lead critical recoveries for escalations.
+ **Stakeholder Engagement:** Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior executives, manage compliance standards, and act as the voice of the customer to ensure satisfaction.
+ **Operational Excellence:** Oversee project initiation, planning, and closure; enforce IP reuse and process standardization; drive readiness programs and continuous improvement.
+ **Monitoring & Governance:** Establish rhythms for tracking KPIs, deliverables, and Conditions of Satisfaction; manage change control, quality assurance, and issue resolution.
+ **Contracting & Compliance:** Support contract setup, amendments, invoicing, and partner resource management while ensuring adherence to confidentiality and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 8+ years financial management experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
+ **Microsoft Cloud Background Check:** This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 15+ years related experience
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 15+ years experience working on data center projects.
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) and Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.
+ Agile certification, Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Professional Scrum Master One (PSM1) certification.
+ Certification in relevant industry.
+ Ability to work in the field.
**Construction Project Management IC6** - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
