Responsible for monitoring, adjusting and administering inventory controls to include: (1) daily review of WMS aging reports and SAP for accurate inventory accountability; (2) utilizing WMS and SAP to research and resolve inventory discrepancies; (3) creating systemic VCB's for merchandise to be returned to vendors, salvaged or destroyed; (4) communicating to Home Office, selling clubs and in-house management concerning inventory related issues; (5) maintaining records of inventory adjustments and physical inventory counts; (6) planning and monitoring physical inventories, including merchandise cut-off schedules and staffing requirements; and (7) supervising the recouping and repackaging of damaged merchandise;
Key Roles and Responsibilities
+ Maintain accuracy and integrity of storage, crossdock and put to club inventories. Investigate and document inventory discrepancies and perform all necessary systemic adjustments. Ensure 100% accuracy of inventories for DC and communicate issues to HO Financial Control, selling clubs and business partners (vendors/carriers).
+ Establish and maintain Quality Control standards and initiate reconciliation process in accordance to Loss Prevention protocol. Ensure inventory control procedures and policies are enforced at all times. Communicate and provide feedback to the DC management regarding all inventory or storage related exceptions.
+ Oversee year end inventory. Reconcile physical inventories through quantity adjustments and communicate the results to HO Financial Control.
+ Maintain safety compliance when handling damaged and recalled merchandise. Ensure personal protection precautions are taken when handling merchandise. Ensure hazardous material handling processes are being executed as designed.
+ Verify that proper charge back procedures are being used to ensure vendor requirements are satisfied.
Job Requirements
+ Associates Degree in Business or Related Experience
+ Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Related Experience
+ 2 - 4 years Financial Control background with emphasis on Inventory Control
+ Preferred Experience: 3 - 5 years Financial Control background with emphasis on Inventory Control
+ Ability to prioritize needs of the business, problem solving and reconciliation skills, organization, ability to communicate with TM’s at all levels.
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to work in warehouse environment which includes heat, cold, noise and dust. Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift and sit for up to 8 hours a day. Ability to work on powered equipment when needed.
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $56,500.00.
