Description

Job Summary: As Periodontal Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care by assisting the periodontist with surgical and non-surgical procedure, maintaining sterilization protocols, and educating patients on oral health and post-operative care. You will work in a fast-paced practice where attention to detail and compassion are key. Job Responsibilities: -Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for periodontal procedures. -Assist the periodontist with surgical procedures such as scaling and root planning, crown lengthening, dental implant placement and tissue grafting. -Ensure accurate documentation and charting of patient records. -Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post operative care instructions. -Monitor inventory and maintain adequate stock of instruments and supplies. -Ensure proper infection control protocols and OSHA compliance are met -Support front office staff with scheduling and patient communication as needed. -Foster a collaborative and professional clinical environment.

Required Skills & Experience: -Must have a minimum of one (1) year of dental assistant experience in periodontal. Preferred Skills & Experience: -N/A
Education

Required Education: -Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program. Preferred Education: -N/A Required Certifications & Licensure: -Expanded Function Dental Assistant (CODA or FL Board Approved). -X-Ray certification. Preferred Certifications & Licensure: -N/A
