Simulation Engineer Lead - FlexSim - Senior Consultant
Overview:Requesting a Senior Simulation Engineer to work on a client opportunity in the manufacturing domain, with expertise in FlexSim modeling and deployment. This role focuses on building, validating, and deploying digital simulations to support smart manufacturing use cases.
Work you'll do:
+ Develop and maintain FlexSim simulation models for process optimization and decision support.
+ Configure and manage deployment options for Windows PCs, cloud VMs, and containerized methods, for scalable client simulation use cases.
+ Integrate simulations with various data sources (databases, APIs, IoT, ERP/MES systems) to ensure models reflect real-world conditions.
+ Conduct scenario analysis, model validation, and performance tuning.
+ Collaborate with client teams to translate business requirements into simulation workflows.
+ Orchestrate containers in Kubernetes and integrate a lightweight Python layer (e.g., FlexSimPy) for data exchange.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ 4+ years of relevant Analytics consulting or industry experience
+ 3+ years experience in developing and maintaining FlexSim simulation models for process optimization and decision support.
+ 3+ years experience Orchestrating containers in Kubernetes and integrate a lightweight Python layer (e.g., FlexSimPy) for data exchange
+ 3+ Experience with simulation software and tools (e.g., Simulink, AnyLogic, Arena).
+ 3+ years experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
+ 3+ years of experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, R, SAS, etc.) to prepare data for analysis, visualize data as part of exploratory analysis, generate features, and other similar data science driven data handling
+ 2+ years of experience leading workstreams or small teams
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Empirical Statistics or 4 years equivalent professional experience
+ Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
+ Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred Skills:
+ Simulation expertise across domains: Discrete Event Simulation (DES), Agent-Based Simulation (ABS), Continuous, Hybrid Simulation, Monte Carlo, and stochastic modeling.
+ Programming/scripting proficiency.
+ Experience with digital twins, smart manufacturing platforms, or Industry 4.0 ecosystems.
+ Ability to influence strategy and drive adoption of simulation technologies across the enterprise.
+ Demonstrated expertise with one full life cycle analytics engagement across strategy, design and implementation.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,100 t0 $208,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
