Job Title: CNC Machinist III

Type: Contract To Hire

Compensation: $25 - $36 hourly

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen, lawful resident alien, citizen of American Samoa or other territory owning permanent allegiance to the United States.

Estimated starting salary range for CNC Machinist III : $25 - $36/hour

Pay commensurate with experience.

CNC Machinist III Responsibilities Include:

+ Fabricates metal parts by operating mechanical equipment.

+ Operates one or more types of machines in order to meet production demands.

+ Sets and adjusts machine settings as necessary.

+ Reads and interprets diagrams and blueprints to select, position, and secure machinery to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.

+ Complete tasks accurately according to customer specifications.

+ Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, location of surfaces, machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

+ Setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.

+ Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; and indicating vices.

+ Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.

+ Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.

+ Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

+ Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

+ Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

+ Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

+ Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

+ Updates job knowledge by participating in education opportunities.

+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

CNC Machinist III Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

+ Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years of experience is required.

+ Ability to make complex tooling, inspect complex parts and be able to read and edit complex programs.

+ Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints, technical data and related specifications.

+ Ability to exhibit good attendance, a good attitude, and the ability to work well with others.

+ Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen

+ Must have a clean background and drug panel
