    We are currently looking an Associate R&D Food Technologist to join our team! This is a contract-to-hire position offering a pay rate range of $28-32/hr depending on experience.

     

    Must be able to work onsite in North Los Angeles.

    Responsibilities:

    + Develop and improve new and existing products based on customer or internal requirements.

    + Demonstrate creativity and innovation in formulation development.

    + Taste and evaluate all developed products for quality and consistency.

    + Work independently with minimal supervision to achieve project objectives.

    + Perform product costing calculations and maintain accurate cost data.

    + Create and maintain master formulas in company databases for future reference.

    + Draft product specifications for supervisor review and approval.

    + Conduct shelf-life and stability testing on finished products.

    + Establish and manage protocols for all outgoing product samples.

    + Collaborate with Quality Control and Production teams during first-time product manufacturing runs.

    + Coordinate with the Shipping Department to ensure proper packaging and handling of product samples.

    + Handle all sample requests and inquiries.

    + Maintain regular, punctual attendance.

    + Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

    Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.

    + Minimum of 1 year of experience in the food industry or a related field.

    + Strong mathematical proficiency, including a working knowledge of algebra.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

    + Strong sensory acuity for taste and aroma evaluation.

    + Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 pounds.\#INDBH
