This position is key in delivering a pleasant vacation experience to visitors by being professional, courteous, and helpful while providing transportation around the Steamboat Springs area during their stay. The shuttle driver is responsible for the safe transportation of guests/owners to and from the mountain as well as around town. Coordinating and communicating with the front desk and other drivers is essential for the function and effectiveness of this job, good English skills are required for this task. The successful candidate will have a main focus on safety as well as excellent customer service skills. Requirements: At least 25 years old with a valid Driver's License with Good Driving Record - No CDL required Maintaining Good Driving Record Requirement for Continued Employment Hospitable Personality Excellent Customer Service Skills Good English Speaking Skills Summary: Drives shuttles to transport owners and guests by performing the following duties in a courteous, helpful and professional manner: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Drives shuttle vehicles in a safe manner to transport guests &owners to/from individual properties or central check-in area to ski area, downtown, or other local attractions during their stay. Assists guest with loading / unloading of skis, luggage or other personal items. Assists disabled / elderly passengers into and out of vehicle. Operates radio or similar device to communicate with Dispatcher, front desk and other shuttles driver, to receive instructions, report schedule, disruption of service, or accidents. Delivers customer service by being Professional, courteous, helpful, and informative. Strives to continuously maintain basic knowledge of local events, local attractions, dining establishments, and other local areas of interest. Answers inquiries pertaining to resort services; registration of guests; shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Promptly reports any accident to direct supervisor and follows the specified accident procedures. Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories. Reports any unsafe conditions of vehicle, tires, or other areas of the workplace.
