We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

Located just minutes from the beaches of the Jersey Shore, VCA Bayview Animal Hospital is a 3 doctor general practice offering wellness and sick care, digital radiography including dental x-rays, surgery, FAST ultrasound, in house bloodwork, and hospitalization. We are seeking a **Veterinary Assistant** to join our team full time. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen

Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or a Technician in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

+ Compassionate patient care

+ Maintaining medical records.

+ Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.

+ Filling prescriptions.

+ Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

The ideal candidate will have:

+ A positive, encouraging and supportive attitude

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays

+ Customer service skills

+ Working knowledge of computers

+ Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant

+ Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments

The pay range for this position is $15-$20/hr
