Looking for a Internal Medicine Registered Veterinary Technician

**Compensation :** $ 38 - $ 43 / hr

As a member of the VCA Bay Are Veterinary Specialist you will support technician and doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient..
Our Internal Medicine service offers a training program tailored to each individual person where we work as a team to grow and nurture skills and knowledge. We will work on advancing technical skills in venipuncture, anesthesia, feeding tube placement, animal safety and biosecurity, and more. We will also teach you how to help perform advanced diagnostics including but not limited to fluoroscopy, CT, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy. Our service also offers to broaden your knowledge on numerous subjects such as nephrology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, immunology, hematology, respiratory diseases, and infectious diseases so that we can better help our pets and their family members.
You have worked hard for your credentials (CVT, RVT, LVT) and we want you to use the knowledge that you have invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:
+ Physical examinations and patient assessment
+ Anesthesia monitoring
+ CT
+ Rhinoscopies
+ Cystoscopies
+ Fluoroscopy
+ Gastroduodenoscopies and colonoscopies
+ Bone Marrow aspirates
+ Arthrocentesis
+ Surgical preparation and assisting
+ Radiology
+ Laboratory work

+ Catheter placement
