Harness Engineer -DevOps (Remote)

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Harness Engineer to join our DevOps team. This role focuses on leveraging the Harness.io platform to streamline CI/CD processes and enhance our Internal Developer Platform (IDP). You will play a key role in building developer-centric tools, improving automation, and ensuring secure, scalable deployments across cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain features within the Harness Developer Portal (IDP).
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Harness.io.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate build tools and deployment workflows.
• Ensure secure and efficient cloud operations across AWS and Azure.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment tasks using Python.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network and security configurations related to CI/CD.
• Advocate for best practices in DevOps, security, and developer experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with Harness.io (CI/CD modules, IDP, Feature Flags, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Solid understanding of networking and security principles in cloud-native environments.
• Experience with build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle, npm) and version control (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or DevOps tools.
• Experience with other CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $79,240– $133,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
