_Radiology Scheduler_

_Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia_

_Full Time, Days_

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

Greets and communicates with patients, visitors and hospital personnel by telephone, intercom, or in person, in a polite and professional manner. Schedules exams in all modalities of Radiology. Completes and coordinates all clerical work prior to patient’s radiological examinations.

Employment Qualifications

+ High school graduate or equivalent; medical terminology, computer skills, and 35wpm typing speed. Previous experience as a receptionist is preferred.

+ Tact and diplomacy required for contact with customers under stressful conditions.

+ Ability to make decisions based on the urgency of the situation and in accordance with department policies.

+ Requires multi-tasking and use of standard office equipment.
