    Test Automation Engineer I

    **Location:** Exton, PA, US (Hybrid)

    Position Summary:

    Bentley Systems is seeking a Test Automation Engineer I to join our Licensing Test Team. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies that empower users to solve mission-critical challenges, save time, and reduce costs across construction and infrastructure sectors.

     

    You’ll play a key role in building robust, reusable automated tests and ensuring system stability and reliability. As part of a global team of engineers, you’ll collaborate on innovative solutions and gain hands-on experience with the latest tools and methodologies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Automation Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions to improve testing efficiency, product quality, and compliance with specifications. Manage the integration of automated tests into the continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

    + Test Environment Management: Create, configure, and maintain test environments that simulate different user scenarios and conditions.

    + Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and communicate software defects clearly and accurately, collaborating closely with developers for swift resolution.

    + Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including development, product, and operations, to ensure thorough testing coverage and continuous improvement.

    + Continuous Improvement: Contribute to enhancing testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to drive excellence in the development lifecycle.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience.

    + 2+ years of proven work experience in automated QA.

    + Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g. TypeScript / PowerShell / C#).

    + Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) systems.

    + Solid knowledge of backend testing (APIs, DBs, Microservices).

    + Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.

    + Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies.

    + A proactive, shift-left mindset – ability to identify issues early and work to prevent them

    + Self-motivated person with the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
