    Common Ground is seeking a Supervisor to be a part of the Oakland Collaborative Crisis Response (OCCR) team. This position will work from the Pontiac and Bingham Farms locations to serve Oakland County.

     

    The OCCR Supervisor will coordinate the activities of the designated team while providing support to individuals/families who are experiencing a mental health, substance abuse, and/or family crisis. This position will work closely with crisis safety-net providers, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs), area emergency departments and other emergency responders, Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC), and other local crisis providers. Additionally, this position will assist people/families in accessing community or CMH resources and services. The OCCR Supervisor will also promote and participate in activities that enhance recovery and family resiliency.

    Current Opportunities

    1.0, 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday, 12 pm (noon) – 8 pm

    0.4, 16 hours per week, Friday/Saturday, 12 pm (noon) – 8 pm

     

    Compensation

     

    $43.00 - $47.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differential.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Direct and supervise staff on assigned shift, ensuring adherence to Common Ground policies and procedures

    + Provide training and development, appraisal, and recognition

    + Evaluate staff performance and provide discipline, as appropriate and per policy

    + Actively engage person/family experiencing a crisis

    + Partner with individual/family to create a comprehensive crisis plan and safety plan following Person/Family Center Planning principles that utilizes the individual’s strengths, natural supports, and community resources, and that supports crisis mitigation in the least restrictive environment

    + Collaborate with other providers, the criminal justice system, including CMH, Mental Health Court, and Adult Drug Court staff to ensure that eligible individuals who are released/diverted from jail are successfully linked to the most appropriate level of care

    + Train staff to assess the presence of behavioral health conditions of children and adults in crisis

    + Monitor crisis contacts from after-hours telephonic provider(s)

    + Provide oversight of accurate and complete documentation

    + Assure timely and accurate documentation of case records

    + Work collaboratively with police, hospitals, group homes, all case management entities, and other providers in the community

    + Provide monthly individual supervision and monthly group supervision to team members

    + Ensure people are seen in a timely manner and in order of acuity to maintain overall coordination and efficient flow

    + Comply with federal, state, county, and agency regulations governing Targeted Case Management and the delivery of specialty services and supports, where applicable

    + Supervise, mentor, and support team members in delivering high-quality crisis intervention services

    + Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff, identifying areas for growth and improvement

    + Drive agency vehicle (or own personal vehicle) to community locations to respond to crisis call, as needed

    + Maintain reliable personal vehicle for use to and from job and occasionally within the community

    Qualifications

    Licensure

     

    + Active, unrestricted Michigan license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan OR Master level professional licensure in the State of Michigan (Clinical license such as LMSW, LPC, LLP, etc.)

    + All Limited License Master Social Workers (LLMSW), Limited License Professional Counselors (LLPC), and Temporary Limited License Psychologists (TLLP) must receive their permanent license (LMSW, LPC, LLP) within 5 years from the issue date of the original limited/temporary license as published in the State of Michigan LARA system in order to continue their employment

    Experience

    + Minimum of one (1) year experience in diagnosing, treating people with mental health, substance use and/or developmental disabilities, including children, adolescents and families

    + Experience providing crisis intervention services

    + Experience with broad range of age groups and disabilities, including children

    + Experience with persons with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder

    + Ability to demonstrate leadership skills

    + Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience, preferred

    + Psychiatric nursing experience, strongly preferred

     

    Certifications

     

    + Valid Michigan driver’s license, clean driving record regarding eligibility for insurability under Common Ground's insurance policy

    + Meets criteria as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) defined by the State of Michigan

    + Meets criteria as a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) defined by the state of Michigan

    + Meets criteria as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) defined by the state of Michigan

    + Certification in/or willing to obtain a development plan with MCBAP for one of the following, preferred:

    + CCS Certified Clinical Supervisor

    + CAADC Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor

    + CADC Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor
