    About the Role

    We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our elementary team. If you’re committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs and thrive in a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you!

    What You’ll Do

    ? Instruction & Planning

    + Develop engaging lesson plans

    + Deliver group and individual instruction

    + Create student schedules aligned with IEP service minutes

    ? Collaboration & Communication

    + Work closely with general education teachers, team members, and administrators

    + Communicate regularly with parents/guardians

    + Lead weekly meetings with Instructional Assistants

    ? Compliance & Documentation

    + Ensure Special Education compliance standards and timelines

    + Complete all required Special Education paperwork

    + Facilitate IEP and Evaluation meetings

    ? Student Support & Assessment

    + Manage behavior using PBIS, IEPs, and district guidelines

    + Administer district and state assessments

    + Collect and analyze student data

    ? Leadership & Supervision

    + Schedule and supervise Instructional Assistants

    + Attend staff meetings and professional development

     
     

    Support the efficient and effective functioning of the school environment.

    Requirements

    ? Active Missouri Teaching License – Special Education

    ? Fingerprint clearance

    ? Meet DESE requirements

    ? Current CPR certification

    ? 1+ year of experience in Special Education (preferred)
