Associate Director, Clinical Trial Payments (CTP) Forecasting Services
Works in close collaboration with the Director, CTP Forecasting Service, to guide and manage the entire range of deliverables to make this service initiative successful. Forecasting is being incubated and prepared for launch at the beginning of 2024. The dimensions of responsibility include business strategy, financial planning, developing and prioritizing business requirements for the underlying technical solution, interfacing with the product management and development team, building services team including recruiting and training, business development and pricing, management of Forecast Analysts – all in order to provide high quality outcome for the clinical trial studies that have asked for the Payments Forecasting Service.
Provides expertise and analytical support in developing and enhancing business processes, analysis, and reporting. Build, manage, mentor, and train teams and team members. Develop, enhance, and document Forecasting Service processes as the solution continues to develop. Review the Pilot as well as post-launch outcomes on a cross-study basis to gain insight and develop future business requirements. Assist in managing end to end Investigator Payments forecasting service. This role will work with client facing personnel – CSLs and PLs; in addition to closely working with all FAs.
Desired Skills & Experiences:
+ 5 years of management experience, 10 years of operations experience, multi-functional desirable
+ Capability to dive into an individual study details and engage at a service strategy level
+ Hands-on data analysis experience. Desirable - Excel Macro expertise, SQL Query experience
+ Clinical Trial Industry Experience
+ Clinical Trial Payment Experience
+ CTP, TDSE and/or IQVIA Experience
+ Understanding of BI & Reporting (functional, systems)
+ Experience in (or understanding of or Interest in) Product / Service Management function
+ Experience in (or understanding of or Interest in) Financial: Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting, Reporting
+ Willingness to learn client-facing Forecast analyst role (needed for Forecasting COE Business Analysis)
+ Capable of logical, lateral, and multi-functional thinking
+ Passion for success, persistence in face of obvious obstacles
Essential Functions:
+ Deliver accurate and timely Forecasting outcome for IQVIA studies (Direct and Pull Through) that have engaged for Forecasting Service. (Operations)
+ Management of the Forecasting Team, via the manager/associate manager structure, that comprise mostly offshore team members. (Team Management)
+ Interface with the client facing personnel (PLs, CSLs) and occasionally with the sponsors to address delivery concerns. (Escalation Management)
+ Anticipant future demand growth of Forecasting Service and Ensure that resourcing is in place to handle the ramp up, considering the time for recruiting and training. (Business Planning, Resource Management)
+ Build and nurture a collaborative relationship with teams and organizations, such as RDS project teams, CTP regional operations, Forecasting Product Management, CTP Data COE, ClinTech Business Development and Solutions Engineering, etc. (Liaison)
+ Ensure adherence to and development/maintenance/refresh of processes/frameworks/documentation and knowledge bases (Process Management, Knowledge Management)
+ Ensure monitoring of Forecasting outcome by ensuring instrumentation, tracking, and analysis. (Operations). Tease out automation and productivity improvement opportunities. (Strategy)
+ Act as a change agent via process redesign and alignment with organizational objectives. (Operations)
+ Ensure client and usage feedbacks are captured and reflected on the roadmap (strategy).
+ Lead strategic initiatives to improve the agility/efficiency of the solution and processes. (Operations)
+ Drive qualitative and quantitative analysis, as required, to identify root causes in the application, and analysis to track effectiveness of improvements. (Operations)
+ Research and track Industry and Technology trends in order to influence Roadmap (Strategy)
+ Assist in setting team goals congruent with the strategy and evolving productivity improvement (Strategy)
+ When volume require, delivers as a Forecast Analyst; guides and advises less-experienced Forecast Analysts.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance or Business Administration, Master’s preferred
+ 5 years of people management experience required, 10 years of operations experience required (multi-functional desirable)
+ Clinical Trial Industry Experience; Clinical Trial Payment Experience; CTP, ClinTech and/or IQVIA Experience
+ Exceptional Leadership skills; High commitment, ownership; Proactive, result oriented, can-do attitude
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively manage teams, processes, client-satisfaction, and automation
+ Understanding of client’s service requirements and underlying system & process needed to deliver
+ Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop solutions, and craft high quality executive presentations
+ Creative thinker that can generate innovative ideas, work collaboratively, and lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders to drive execution.
+ Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite - Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc
+ Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly, to new demands with a high sense of urgency
+ Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively
+ Executive presence, presenting to large groups, effective communication, and influence skills
+ Detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $80,400.00 - $223,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
