Senior Project Manager
Roles and Responsibilities
POWER Engineers, Inc., Member of WSP is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Power Delivery Construction Project Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical and financial aspects of Power Delivery projects, Developing and Managing New Business, client relationships, and marketing POWER's Power Delivery services to existing and new clients. Working location for the projects will be Fort Lauderdale, FL; Lincoln, Nebraska; and Anchorage, Alaska. Other responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
PM/PMD Set (Applies to both)
1. Develop and maintain solid working relationships w/ POWER staff, clients, and others. Develop new business and clients for POWER. For more complex decisions, involve BUD/Regional Manager/NTS, client, department management, etc. in a timely and appropriate fashion.
2. Embrace, support and promote POWER's culture. Be seen as an example of what POWER is as an employee.
3. Proactively manage projects to minimize wear and tear on the project team. Communicate to other departments/divisions, reserve appropriate resourcing, plan ahead, anticipate potential challenges and promote established POWER processes. Maintain a positive attitude and encourage others to do the same.
4. Provide internal leadership and mentoring as assigned. Mentor junior staff on technical and project management skills. Initiate or participate personally in the management of strategic projects and clients. Promote Power Delivery strategies, operation, goals and objectives.
5. Execute, monitor and maintain project performance (budget, schedule and quality) through the use of our established PM practices and procedures. Provide oversight to the Project Engineer for their PM related activities and project execution.
6. Actively and consistently participate in the management of the Power Construction Project Management group. Successfully execute responsibilities as determined by Regional and/or department manager.
7. Provide direct guidance and oversight to PMs within your department to help PMs meet the department performance goals.
8. Work primarily with Power Delivery, but may also interface with other POWER divisions, based on the nature of any particular project
9. This position will require travel for regional, national and possibly international clients/projects.
10. Demonstrated Project Management skills should include CPM scheduling, budget and cost analysis, procedure development, contract interpretations and management, managing project teams, as well as proposal writing, client marketing, and project presentations
Required Education/Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university/program or approved equivalent accreditation
+ Must have extensive EPC experience
+ Must have established experience working in the Northeast
+ 10 years construction and/or project management
+ Minimum 10 years QA/QC experience
+ Minimum of 25 years' relevant/applicable industry experience
+ Minimum of 20 years' relevant project management experience
+ Relevant experience includes medium and large-scale project management, and/or project lead engineering experience on projects
+ Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
+ Proficiency with HVDC, and sub-stations
+ Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting
+ Experience in project management controls
Desired Experience
+ PE license and PMP certification
+ Proficiency with long-line transmission and distribution systems (Overhead and underground)
+ Working knowledge is preferred for solar PV, battery energy storage systems, wind turbines generators, HVDC converter stations and gas turbines

Base Salary Range: $200K - $235K
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
