    Assistant Professor of Teaching, Department of Technology, Information Systems and Analytics

     

    Wayne State University is searching for an experiencedAssistant Professor of Teaching, Department of Technology, Information Systems and Analyticsat its Detroit campus location.

    Essential functions (job duties):

    The Department of Technology, Information Systems and Analytics (TISA), at The Mike Ilitch School of Business, Wayne State University is seeking to fill an Assistant Professor of Teaching, non-tenure track position to begin Fall 2026.

     

    + Candidates will be expected to teach technical courses in areas of interest at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

    + The typical teaching load is 4+4, along with the option to teach summer courses. Course teaching load reductions may be available based on publication record.

    Qualifications:

    The preferred teaching areas for this position are:

    1. Cyber Security

    2. Information Assurance

    3. Machine Learning and Programming

    4. Cloud Computing.

    Desirable education and experience:

    + A Ph.D. in Information Systems, Analytics, Decision Sciences, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited business school. Candidates with a Master’s degree can be considered for the rank of Instructor.

    + Teaching and/or professional experience/certification in CyberSecurity and any other above-mentioned preferred area(s).

    + Ability to build and teach courses in multi-modalities including in-person; online asynchronous; and online synchronous.
