    Inpatient Pharmacist – Full Time

    **Location:** Twin Falls, Idaho

     

    Overview

     

    St. Luke’s Health System in Twin Falls is seeking a **Full-Time Inpatient Pharmacist** to join our dedicated pharmacy team. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based medication therapy for our patients while supporting a culture of clinical excellence and collaboration.

     

    This position offers **10-hour shifts (4x10s)** and includes working **every 3rd weekend** .

    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with providers and clinical teams to ensure the appropriateness of prescribed medication therapy.

    + Enter, verify, and process medication orders in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.

    + Provide medication information and consultation to patients, nurses, and medical staff.

    + Interpret prescriptions, compound, and dispense medications accurately and safely.

    + Supervise and authorize the work of pharmacy technicians, externs, interns, and support staff.

    + Prepare and maintain all necessary records related to medication therapy, prescriptions, patient charges, medical records, and inventory.

    + Perform cognitive clinical pharmacy services and document findings and interventions per medical center standards.

    + Administer medications and vaccinations as appropriate.

    + Participate in the training, education, and mentoring of pharmacy technicians, externs, interns, residents, and other department staff.

    + Serve as a professional role model and mentor for students, residents, and new practitioners.

    + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + **Education:** Degree from an accredited pharmacy program (PharmD or equivalent).

    + **Experience:** No prior experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

    + **Licenses/Certifications:**

    + Valid Pharmacist License in the State of Idaho (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).

    + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification through the **American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI)** , **American Heart Association (AHA)** , or **American Red Cross** .

    Schedule

    + Full-time position

    + 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (4x10s)

    + Every 3rd weekend rotation
