• Class A or B Commercial Garbage Route Driver

    Waste Connections (Moses Lake, WA)


    LakeSide Disposal, a Waste Connections Company, is looking to hire a Safety Minded Commercial Licensed Driver to join our team in Moses Lakes, WA.

     

    This position will work Monday-Friday 6:00Am to 4:00Pm with occasional Overtime.

     

    The starting rate of pay is $28.20/HR.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Ability to safely Drive on specified routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience _preferred_ , but not required.

    + Ability to read route Tablet and service each customer identified on the Route or assigned by the dispatcher.

    + Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

    + Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.

    + Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.

    + Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    + A typical schedule for this position is **Monday-Friday 6:00Am to 4:00Pm** with an occasional Saturday as needed, 45-50 hour work week.​

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

    + Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds throughout a 8+ hour shift.

    + Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require the following basic safety precautions.

    + The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.

    Ideal candidate will possess:

    + **Commercial Driver’s License A or B with Airbrake endorsement**

    + Clean driving record.

    + Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.

    + Must be able to lift, Push or Pull 50+lbs minimum.

    + Safety Minded

    + Customer Service Experience Preferred.

    + Work outside in all weather conditions or standing for 8+ Hour Shifts.

    + Basic knowledge of truck components to help complete DOT pre- and post-trip inspections.

    + This is a Safety Sensitive Position

    Washington State Wage Range is $28.20-30.00/HR
