UPMC Washington is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the Director of Quality, Patient Safety, and Patient Experience.. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure excellence in clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction across our healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead multidisciplinary teams to improve clinical outcomes and reduce resource utilization while promoting quality patient outcomes.
+ Oversee Infection Control programs, including surveillance, education, and HAI reduction.
+ Drive data analytics and reporting in collaboration with CQSI.
+ Serve as the facility contact for PHC4, PHCQA, and UPMC Risk Management.
+ Ensure readiness for DOH Licensure and Joint Commission Accreditation Surveys.
+ Manage departmental budgets and staffing to meet quality and cost-effectiveness goals.
+ Champion patient experience initiatives and public reporting of quality outcomes.
+ Provide oversight for privacy officer functions and policy/procedure development.
+ Act as a senior internal consultant for clinical measurement, analysis, and reporting.
+ Responsible for the deployment of Vizent across UPMC Washington & UPMC Greene.
Master's Degree in nursing, healthcare administration, public health or other relevant field required.
5 years of progressively responsible experience in health care including supervision and leadership required.
Knowledge of various aspects of quality and process improvement, extensive experience in implementation systems and other techniques required.
Advanced interpersonal communications skills to assure a collaborative positive culture of quality and safety.
Experience in effective presentation of quality efforts to board, executives, and multiple disciplines.
Demonstrated Leadership qualities knowledge of Clinical Practices Knowledge of regulatory requirements of multiple accrediting oragnizations including TJS, DOH and CMS Advanced analytic skills.
Ability to effective and succinctly communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of the organizations
Flexible, adaptable, and open to change.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
RN licensure strongly preferred
BLS required within 30 days of hire/transfer.
+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
