    Overview

     

    Salary $58,000

     

    The Residential Program Director is responsible for the successful administration and management of the budgetary and business operations of the program. They serve as interdisciplinary team lead for the delivery of quality, appropriate services to residents according to BSAS and agency requirements.

    Responsibilities

    1. Organize staff and staffing functions in accordance with Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Addiction Services Contract.

    2. Assign and monitor scheduling of staff to ensure program coverage, and budget compliance.

    3. Ensure staff receive appropriate certifications and training to perform duties adequately.

    4. Participate in the admission process with the Clinical Director and develop discharge plans, to include intake, psychosocial assessments, and development of appropriate resident services.

    5. Supervise the Recovery Specialists and Medication Specialists

    6. Assist with the development, review, updates, revisions and enforcement of policies and procedures for the program in accordance with DPH/BSAS funding and Advocates’ policy and procedure.

    7. Network with community providers, both internally and externally to maximize service delivery.

    8. Monitor the up keep of the program site. Ensure the program meets safety and cleanliness standards.

    9. Lead/co-lead program and staff meetings for the purpose of education, skill growth, program planning, evaluating resident care, and improving program functioning.

    10. Participate in the on-call rotation through 24-hour availability for consultation and emergency crisis intervention.

    11. Attend assigned trainings and maintain necessary certifications and licenses

    12. Ensure that individuals we support are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates’ Human Rights policy and the Advocates Way philosophy.

    13. Attend and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.

    14. Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.

    15. Strictly implement and follow all agency Performance Standards.

    Qualifications

    1. High School Diploma with 5 years’ experience. Experience in counseling, education, social work or related field preferred. 1-2 years supervisory and/or teaching experience desired.

    2. Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

    3. Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.

    4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a variety of individuals, including residents, family members, team, physicians, community agencies, government organizations, funding sources.

    5. High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.

    6. Working knowledge of Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial Insurance, and community resources.

    7. Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.

    8. Ability to execute a variety of decision-making models. Ability to demonstrate superior problem-solving skills.

    9. Ability to set priorities and handle multiple simultaneous tasks, organizing, prioritizing, planning, sequencing and completing tasks independently.

    10. Ability to understand, speak, read and write fluent English and communicate effectively in the primary language of the programs as assigned.

    11. Strong computer knowledge. Proficiency with MS Office Suite

    12. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to an operational and insured vehicle in addition to willingness to use it to transport residents.
