Summary

+ Perform routine treatment procedures as directed.

+ Assist Staff Nurse in complicated treatment procedures.

+ Maintain traction supplies including traction cart every shift.

+ Complete all equipment set up as directed.

+ Report any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient.

+ Communicate any patient complaints of pain to patient’s nurse, charge nurse or unit coordinator.

+ Assist in accompanying patient in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.

+ Provide and assist with personal care as necessary such as bathing, dressing etc.

+ Assist with patient care, such as positioning patient, lifting and turning patient with proper body mechanics, etc.

+ Under supervision, perform general care activities for patients in isolation.

Schedule

+ 56 hours every 2 weeks.

+ Rotating day, evening and night shifts

+ Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Pay and Benefits

+ Starting pay begins at $18.43 per hour and increases with experience.

+ Pay range: $18.43 to $24.44 per hour

+ This is a Union position, and you will be required to join the AFSCME 3296 Union within 30 days from start.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED required.

+ Certified Nursing Assistant, preferred.

+ Previous orderly or nurse aide experience preferred.
