    Xylem is seeking a **Quality Inspector** responsible for performing inspections on incoming materials, parts, and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining product integrity and supporting continuous improvement within our manufacturing operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Inspect incoming materials and finished assemblies for compliance with standards, drawings, and purchase order requirements.

    + Document inspection results through receiving and final inspection reports.

    + Generate Product Inspection Reports (PIRs) for all non-conforming materials.

    + Collaborate with Quality Engineering to identify root causes and assist in implementing corrective actions.

    + Perform additional quality-related tasks as assigned.

    + Availability to work Monday through Saturday as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in dimensional inspection.

    + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

    + Proficient in the use of standard inspection tools and measuring equipment.

    + Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience in a pump fabrication or machine shop environment.

    + Basic computer skills and familiarity with ISO 9000 quality standards.

    Physical Demands

    + Ability to stand or sit for 8+ hours per shift.

    + Frequent reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

    + Must be able to lift and handle parts up to 35 lbs.; heavier items will be lifted using a hoist.

    Work Environment

    + Typical manufacturing shop environment with seasonal temperature changes.

    + Exposure to noise—ear protection required.

    + Work around electrical components, motors, and wiring.

    + Required PPE includes: safety glasses, ear plugs, safety shoes (with toe and metatarsal guards), gloves, and work uniform.
