Job Description
An O&G client in the Westchase area is looking for a Gas Settlements Analyst to join their Midstream & Marketing team. This is an ongoing contract role that will work a hybrid (mon-thurs in office, fri remote) 9/80 schedule with half day Friday's.
This key role performs the monthly gas settlement function related to sale of the client's take-in-kind gas, 3rd party purchases and sales of gas related to the client's pipeline firm-transport capacity and associated transport costs. The primary purpose of this role is to generate invoices for sale and purchase activities with counterparties, compare the client's and counterparty invoices and reconcile where needed, process net cash payments to counterparties and confirm net cash receipts to from counterparties. Generation of SOX and internal control related documentation at the end of each monthly cycle is also part of this job. The job details are included below. The analyst will interact with gas marketers and schedulers in the team as well as Marketing Accounting, Treasury and the client's
counterparties.
Responsibilities include:
• Send out purchase and sale invoices generated by Endur (M&M IT system) to counterparties
• Send Preliminary Cash Forecast to Treasury and Cash Team
• Download generated invoices to help track communication and status
• Diligently work with counterparties to come to an agreement
• Update Treasury of any major changes as quickly as possible
• For outgoing net payments, submit payment packet in APPR with proper support routing to appropriate Reviewers and Approvers
• Track APPR submissions to ensure they are approved timely for payment on the 25th
• For net incoming payments, verify that incoming cash is received on time
• Send Final Cash Forecast to Treasury and Cash Team
• Prepare support documentation for all purchases and sales exceeding a defined threshold and present it to the Manager for verification and sign off

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of work experience
• Strong Excel skills and knowledge of how sales and cost of goods sold are calculated
• Attention to detail, ability to execute in an organized manner and a bias for action
• Effective communication skills given the extent of interaction with internal & external
stakeholders SAP experience
