    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Software Business Analyst working for a maintenance system company. The ideal candidate will be working on requirements for a shipyard automated system and working with stakeholders, the QA team, and the developer team to complete and fix requirements needed to upkeep the system migration into gov cloud.

     

    The software business analyst will ensuring business needs are clearly understood and translated into actionable requirements, lead business planning, scope definition, requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation to shape strategic initiatives, refine product visions, and guide teams throughout the agile lifecycle.

     

    This candidate will ideally be local to Chesapeake, VA or Ledyard, CT. If not in either of these locations, this candidate can work remotely in the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Nevada, New York Ohio, Oregon Pennsylvania South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington , West Virginia

    Skills and Requirements

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management Systems, or related field with

    * 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with emphasis on software requirements in Jira/Confluence in an agile environment

    • Experience translating requirements into User Stories • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum practices

    • Proficiency with software tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)

    • Experience working in DoD or federal environments

    • Familiarity with ITIL, CMMI, or similar service-oriented frameworks

    • Familiarity with Gherkin and behavior-driven development
