Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a **dynamic and strategic Manager of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)** to lead a high-performing team supporting a **global pharmaceutical client** with a diverse U.S. portfolio—spanning **commercial offices, R&D laboratories, and GMP manufacturing facilities** across 10 locations.
In this operational and functional leadership role, you will serve as the **primary HSE advisor and partner** —driving safety culture, guiding teams, ensuring compliance, and presenting confidently to senior leadership and client stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in aligning Sodexo’s HSE strategies with client objectives, ensuring world-class standards in environmental performance and risk management.
**Location:** King of Prussia, PA
**Travel:** Up to 15% across North America
What You'll Do
+ **Lead & Inspire:** Guide and develop a geographically distributed HSE team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
+ **Be the Face of Safety:** Present HSE strategy, performance, and improvement plans to client executives and Sodexo leadership with confidence and clarity.
+ **Drive Environmental Excellence:** Oversee environmental compliance programs—including **hazardous waste management, sustainability initiatives, wastewater and stormwater management** —ensuring strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
+ **Audit & Assure:** Lead successful HSE audits and inspections across all sites; monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
+ **Manage Contractors:** Ensure all contractors and subcontractors operate safely and within compliance standards.
+ **Strategic Oversight:** Develop, implement, and manage the annual HSE budget, strategic initiatives, and risk mitigation plans.
+ **Engage & Report:** Prepare and deliver **insightful monthly business reviews** to internal and client stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and forward plans.
+ **Champion Culture:** Promote a proactive safety mindset across the organization—embedding HSE into everyday operations and decision-making.
+ **Innovate:** Identify opportunities to streamline systems and processes, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency and safety performance.

What You Bring
+ **7–10+ years** of progressive experience in Health, Safety & Environmental leadership, preferably within **pharmaceutical or facilities management environments.**
+ Proven experience **leading teams, engaging senior leaders, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders** in complex organizations.
+ Demonstrated success in **hazardous waste management and environmental compliance programs** .
+ Strong background in **auditing, risk assessment, and performance improvement.**
+ Exceptional **presentation, communication, and relationship-building** skills across all organizational levels.
+ Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to develop actionable insights from performance data.
+ Professional certifications such as **CHMM, CIH, or CSP** highly desirable.
