    Job Overview

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This position monitors and leads youth sports for a safe and secure environment, while also ensuring member satisfaction through providing program instruction.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Provide excellent member service by exceeding member expectations; greet and acknowledge all members to encourage wellness participation.

    2. Lead or assist with youth sports practices.

    3. Respond to participant and spectator needs. Handle complaints in a courteous, patient manner using problem-solving techniques. Contact appropriate Y personnel when necessary.

    4. Lead and assist with program instruction and game officiating if assigned or as needed.

    5. Be visible and available to all participants, members, guests and staff.

    6. Insure facility cleanliness by performing cleaning tasks when needed or contact appropriate maintenance staff.

    7. Respond to emergency situations in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Complete incident and accident reports as necessary.

    8. Other duties as assigned.
