About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled **CAD Designer** to join our partner, a global leader in the aerospace industry. In this critical role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the design and development of advanced launch vehicle systems. As part of a high-performing Mechanical Engineering Design team, you’ll ensure every drawing, model, and component meets the highest standards of precision, manufacturability, and performance.

Your expertise in **Siemens NX** , **Teamcenter** , and **GD&T** will help shape next-generation aerospace designs that push the limits of innovation and engineering excellence.

What You’ll Do

+ Review and check **mechanical design and drawing packages** for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry and military standards.

+ Evaluate designs for **fit, function, manufacturability, and fabrication efficiency** .

+ Perform **3D modeling** and create or revise **parametric drawings** using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter.

+ Conduct **tolerance analyses** , verify hardware fitment, and ensure documentation aligns with ASME standards.

+ Collaborate closely with **engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams** to resolve design issues and ensure seamless production support.

+ Support vendor and cross-functional liaison efforts as needed.

+ Maintain strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Required:

+ Associate’s degree in Drafting or Engineering and **6+ years of related experience** .

+ Expertise in **Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)** per ASME Y14.5-2009; **GDTP Professional Certification preferred.**

+ Proficiency with **Siemens NX** and **Teamcenter** .

+ Knowledge of **ASME Y14.41 Digital Product Definition Practices** .

+ Understanding of **CNC mill and lathe manufacturing processes** .

+ **Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.**

+ Strong communication, organization, and time management skills. **This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.**

Preferred:

+ Experience with **weld design** per AWS D17.1 and D1.1 ( **AWS CWI certification preferred** ).

+ Experience supporting **DoD programs** .

+ Familiarity with **ASME Y14.100** and **MIL-Standard 100** documentation.

**Pay Details:** $35.00 to $48.00 per hour
