**PDS Tech Commercial** is seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer** to support the development and production of Ring Laser Gyroscope components. This role is ideal for engineers with a strong background in optical systems, metrology, and process engineering who are ready to drive innovation and quality in a regulated aerospace environment.
What You’ll Do
As a **Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer** , you will:
+ Provide test and manufacturing support for ring laser gyro components.
+ Analyze and improve process controls for optical components.
+ Develop and implement methods to measure and control manufacturing processes.
+ Apply CAMP, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to standardize engineering practices.
+ Investigate and resolve technical issues, and support root cause analysis.
+ Drive improvements in product design and manufacturing processes to reduce cost and cycle time.
+ Support new product development and preventative maintenance planning.
+ Collaborate across functions to meet RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
+ Deliver technical updates and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Optics, Physics, or Mathematics.
+ Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Experience:
+ Manufacturing related to optical systems/components (e.g., glass polishing, mirror coating, optical alignment).
+ Optical metrology and modeling.
+ Experience in glass machining, polishing, deposition/coating, cleanroom practices.
+ Familiarity with Altium Designer, schematic capture, PCB layout.
+ Analog/digital circuit design, simulation, and power supply analysis.
+ Control systems, HDL/Verilog, high-speed design, multi-layer PCBAs.
+ Soldering, SMT assembly/rework, circuit troubleshooting.
+ Experience with sensors, displays, DC motors, motor control, cable harness design.
+ Programming knowledge (C/C++/Python/LUA).
+ Regulatory compliance (CE, UL, FCC, RoHS, EMC/EMI).
+ Component specification and documentation.

**Pay Details:** $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
