Facilities Technician | Commercial Facilities Maintenance | Day Shift

**Location:** Salt Lake City, UT

**Pay:** $32/hour

**Shift:** Day shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (with occasional work outside these hours)

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in commercial facilities maintenance to hire a **Facilities Technician** in Salt Lake City. In this role, you’ll be the go-to problem solver ensuring buildings remain safe, efficient, and fully operational. From HVAC to carpentry, plumbing to electrical, your work will keep operations running seamlessly across two nearby sites.

What You’ll Do

+ Perform general building maintenance, including painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

+ Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical equipment.

+ Complete preventive maintenance tasks and coordinate vendor services as needed.

+ Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts.

+ Assist with moving office furniture, machinery, and equipment.

+ Monitor facilities to ensure safety, security, and compliance.

+ Document maintenance activities using Word and Excel.

+ Rotate weekly between two local sites (approximately 8 miles apart).

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ 0–2 years of facilities or maintenance experience.

+ Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

+ Proficiency with Word and Excel (critical for documentation).

+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

+ Willingness to travel between local sites.

Preferred Qualifications

+ HVAC experience and troubleshooting skills.

+ Basic knowledge of machines, tools, and repair practices.

+ Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.

**Pay Details:** $32.00 per hour
