**Division:** BITS – Datacenter Operations
**Summary Description:** Implements and Supports Azure cloud and on-prem infrastructure to include Active Directory/Entra ID, Azure Networking, Azure Storage (Datalake/Blob), VMware, Windows Server OS, Enterprise SQL as well as other applications, servers and datacenter operations to automate and streamline business and IT processes. Acts as escalation point for endpoint support.
**Academic and Trade Qualifications:** Associates degree in Computer Science or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred. Combination of training and work experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.
**Work Experience:** A minimum of five (5) years of experience in datacenter operations, troubleshooting, and implementations required. Virtualization, storage and operating system experience is required. Experience with Microsoft Intune application management and deployment, Office 365 and Azure Active Directory preferred.
Responsibilities:
+ Implements and Supports Microsoft Azure infrastructure, on-prem Active Directory, VMware vCenter / ESX, Windows Server, and other data center technologies.
+ Acts as a team lead for Azure cloud and VMware management.
+ Completes systems administration and maintenance within recognized best practices.
+ Maintains servers, operating systems, storage, data backups, IT management systems and other related equipment or software.
+ Configures computing platforms including Windows 11 and Office 365 using Microsoft Intune, some Linux experience is a plus.
+ Provides on-call support in a rotating schedule.
+ Monitoring and support for datacenter systems and applications.
+ Supports the ServiceDesk for customer services, including the use of ticketing, change management and other key customer support measures and metrics.
+ Follows the established procedures for change control, root cause analysis, issue resolution, service ticket creation, assignment resolution and closure.
+ Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
**Job Knowledge:** Extensive knowledge of Microsoft O365 development, automation and management. Knowledge of Azure, datacenter hardware, desktop and server operating systems, applications and operations. Sound knowledge of documentation processes, operational procedures, project planning and quality assurance techniques.
**Abilities and Skills:** An aptitude for communications and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships (internally and externally) is a must. Position should be a self-starter who is well organized and a team player, have excellent presentation and communications skills and be able to multi-task and work under established deadlines. Should be able to learn new technologies and apply knowledge to build repeatable processes.
**Relationships and Contacts:** Must be able to maintain internal relationships necessary to achieve the purpose of the position and the desired results. Work cooperatively with staff members of other divisions and key partners to resolve mutual operational problems and meet corporate policies, procedures and goals. May interact with vendors, consultants and contractors as necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.
**Reports to:** Manager of Data Center Operations
**Working Conditions:** Normal business hours, with limited overtime and rotating on call support as required. Travel is limited and normally contained within the state. Position may require the lifting, moving and installing of IT equipment with weights in the 25 pound range.
