ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Use and manage day to day operation of alarm, CCTV and access control equipment. This will include coordinating service with vendors for equipment that is not functioning according to design or out of service.

Coordinate the daily activities of the Security Control Room, Search area and Operations relating to Security. This includes shipping/ receiving escorts, perimeter door escorts, trash and other related assignments.

Train security personnel (both contract and in-house) in all security policies, procedures and duties.

Be accountable for all the maintenance of daily reports, logs and scheduling of tasks.

Assist Security Manager in the implementation of security procedures/policies that protect the company’s people, assets and information.

Assist the Security Officers in ensuring the safety and security of people, valuable materials and classified documents pertaining to the premises and/or operation.

Assist the Security Manager in identifying and analyzing risks associated with the operation and report security concerns to the Security Manger in a timely fashion.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

+ High-school diploma or equivalent required

+ Requires a minimum of one year in leadership in a security role.

+ Preferred: Security experience in a high security/ high value commodity organization.

+ Must have a valid NYS Security Officer License and ensure it is kept current.

Pay Range:

$31.50 - $43.50

Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion’s business requirements.
