8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Technician

Position Summary:

Golden Boy Foods, a member of the 8th Avenue Food and Provisions Family, is a leading Manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of private label food products. We supply peanut butter to leading grocery retailers, top food service distributors, and industrial bakeries across North America. Our Fitzgerald, GA location has an opening for Quality Tech. The position will be filled by candidates who can consistently maintain a good attendance record and meet production standards while working on manufacturing equipment within a Food Manufacturing facility. A focus on health and safety and food safety are key.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Responsible & Proactive employee

+ Ability to work independently / self-managed

+ Occasional assistance with Customer / Food Safety Audits

+ Occasional lifting of heavy objects weighing 30 - 50 lbs.

Education and Experience Required:

+ Must be capable of reading and writing

+ Must be capable of performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

+ In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs

+ Excel

+ Office

+ Publisher

+ Outlook

+ Access

+ Must have the ability to complete simple oral and written communication

+ Must be able to work 12 hour shifts where spots are available (days or nights)

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

+ 1+ Years in Food Manufacturing

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Prior work experience in Quality

Physical Requirements:

+ Fine Hand Manipulations

+ Pulling, Twisting, and bending

+ Climbing ladders and steps
