Facilities Services Manager

Provide facility project management for the development and continued operation of facilities, with special expertise in project planning/engineering, facility maintenance (repair and replacement evaluation), scheduling, energy management, cost control and contract administration. Work with different Business Units and coordinate needs as well as portions of the construction/remodeling process. Manage multiple external venders, providers, and projects simultaneously. Ability to work within lab environments to coordinate space, construction work, and safety.
Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Manage process for new and remodel construction projects as well as safety and energy management. Management of multiple vendors under tight schedule constraints in order to minimize employee downtime
+ Highly skilled in determining client’s needs and the objectives of a problem without guidance. Required to be proactive and a self-starter as well as able to develop a course of action to solve the problem independently.
+ Ability to develop solutions that meet the client’s needs and result in an environment that supports the desired function or performance.
+ Apply the understanding of codes, energy management, and safety attributes to projects and products as well as company needs
+ Ability to work within lab environments to coordinate space, construction work, and safety. Knowledge in lab practices and workflows is desirable.
+ Ability to be an active contributor on a team. This involves receiving criticism and giving productive feedback to other team members to improve processes.
+ Coordinate projects with Maintenance Leads and Site Reliability Engineer to ensure project scope is aligned with future maintenance and reliability needs.
+ Enforce company building standards and collaborate with Facilities Services to continuously refine and modernize these standards in alignment with evolving technologies.
+ Incorporate commissioning and issue resolution into projects to determine final completion and payment.
+ Ensure project documentation is properly organized and digitally archived for future reference.
PROBLEM SOLVING
+ Solving project delays with tight deadlines, while incorporating frequent design changes and changes in the scope of the project.
+ Allocation of time between multiple projects under simultaneous time frames.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in construction management/business management or related field
+ 4+ years of related industry experience in construction/project management/Engineering
+ People leadership experience is a benefit
+ Experienced in large diverse corporations is a positive
+ Ability to work across many organizations, understanding the needs, and pulling together the project scope/need will be required
