What You'll Do
+ Perform advanced-level plumbing work as assigned by Plant Engineering Services leadership to maintain and improve the service life of facility assets, including physical structures, HVAC, utilities, and grounds.
+ Troubleshoot, repair, and install plumbing systems and related equipment to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with healthcare standards.
+ Support patient care areas by maintaining medical gas systems (medical air, oxygen, vacuum, nitrogen, compressed air, nitrous oxide).
+ Inspect and evaluate plumbing systems for performance and efficiency improvements.
+ Assist in maintaining and repairing kitchen, restroom, and specialty equipment throughout the hospital.
+ Partner with team members and departments to deliver excellent customer service and respond promptly to maintenance requests with professionalism and care.
+ Ensure all work complies with life safety, plumbing, and building codes.
What We're Looking For
+ Education: High school diploma, required. One (1) year of vocational school, required.
+ Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in commercial plumbing installation and maintenance, required. Experience with reverse osmosis (RO) systems and rehabilitation pools, required. Healthcare experience, preferred.
+ Licensure/Certification: Valid city/county journeyman’s card and/or plumber’s license from the state of employment, required. Valid driver’s license in the state of employment, required. Med Gas certification, preferred.
+ Additional Skills Required:
+ Strong knowledge of life safety, plumbing, and building codes.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing and mechanical systems using a variety of testing equipment.
+ Proficiency in reading technical service manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
+ Excellent customer service skills and commitment to supporting a safe, healing environment for patients and families.
+ Additional Skills Preferred:
+ Experience with electrical and electronic systems.
+ Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance management systems.
+ Strong listening skills to detect changes in machine/equipment operation.
