             DESCRIPTION We are looking for a talented IT Support Specialist to join our team specializing in Information Technology for our Distribution Business Unit in **Hodgkins, IL.** In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: + Work autonomously to provide system operational support, ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and availability of IT resources and systems for end users. + Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve IT hardware and software issues with minimal direction, ensuring timely follow-up with customers to confirm resolution. + Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and applications while identifying potential issues and implementing proactive solutions. + Utilize the Incident Management system to manage reported issues and requests, documenting all actions and support provided. + Analyze data to identify trends, escalate recurring problems, and recommend or implement service improvements. + Coach and develop less experienced IT Support Associates, supervise contract resources, and promote Six Sigma practices to improve processes and reduce costs. + Collaborate effectively across global teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including computer, network, and IOT connectivity. + Partner with the Network LAN/WAN and Print teams to support corporate computer and printing environments. + Maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times in alignment with company standards. RESPONSIBILITIES To be successful in this role you will need the following: + Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply systematic analysis and industry-standard methodologies to identify and resolve root causes. + Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions. + Demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse teams and balance multiple stakeholder needs. + Experience managing complex technical issues and optimizing work processes for efficiency and continuous improvement. + Technical aptitude and ability to anticipate and adopt innovative technologies to support business operations. + Strong business insight and decision-making skills to ensure accountability and maintain operational excellence. + Experience working with data closet connectivity, IOT devices, and computer hardware replacement (desktops, laptops, and peripherals). Education/Experience + High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience required. + Associate degree, relevant industry training, certification, or equivalent experience preferred. + Intermediate level of relevant work experience required (3–5 years). + This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Troubleshoot printing as requested by Cummins Print team. Ability to swap parts in Desktops, Laptops and other IT equipment as needed. Work with Network LAN and WAN teams for onsite and remote troubleshooting. Understanding Data Closet functionality and connectivity. Troubleshoot IOT devices for network connectivity issues.
