Eaton is hiring for a Vice President – Production Strategy position. This position can be based remotely within the United States and 50 percent travel is anticipated.
Position overview:
The VP – Production Strategy reports directly to the EVP, Chief Supply Chain & Operations Officer. This position is a critical leadership role within our Integrated Supply Chain Operations function. This role optimizes and standardizes global shop floor processes across Eaton’s 200+ locations, ensuring efficient operations that meet customer needs and business goals. The VP will lead strategic initiatives, including transitioning to a cost center, implementing Manufacturing Execution System (MES), aligning daily execution principles, and deploying effective OpA across manufacturing sites.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead and manage all aspects of production process, including cost center definition and transition.
• Develop and understand how manufacturing plants need to be set up from the value stream standpoint to always maximize value.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency on the production floor.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and supply chain, to ensure seamless operations and alignment with overall business objectives.
• Responsible for leveraging lean manufacturing principles and best practices, driving continuous improvement initiatives, aligned with improvement opportunities to increase customer value and capacity.
• Ensure processes that comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards on the shop floor.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and efficiency
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for the shop floor management team.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
• Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience working in global Manufacturing environments
• Minimum ten (10) years management experience
• Minimum five (5) years multi-site Operational experience
• Experience leading production/shop floor strategies at an enterprise level and/or for a multi billion dollar business with minimum 20 locations

Preferred Qualifications:
• In depth knowledge of Manufacturing Operating System such as TPS (Toyota Production System)
• In-depth understanding of shop floor processes, execution and tools, and what great looks like.
• Experience in technology, manufacturing, and power management industries
• Strong financial skills including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
• Understanding of capital investments with experience in managing large projects
• Proven ability to balance operational and strategic priorities
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies
• Project management or process improvement certifications
Position Criteria:
• Proven track record in driving large-scale organizational change
• Experience coaching and advising senior executives on business-critical issues.
• Expertise in efficiency methods, quality metrics, and first pass yields
• In-depth knowledge of logistics and scaling operations while maintaining consistency and quality across different sites
• Ability to assess key processes in manufacturing, identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and increase capacity
• Effective collaborator in a global matrixed organization

The expected annual salary range for this role is $236997.0 - $347595.6 a year.
