    Overview

     

    The Product Sales Specialist II is a key member of our Solutions team who oversees the sales and growth of Sharp Display’s Direct View LED (DVLED) solutions while providing value to our customers. Additional responsibilities includeterritory support activities such as product demonstrations, trade shows, trainings, and sales seminars. The Product Sales Specialist II is also the liaison between our customers, the sales teams, product marketing team, and our solutions operations group. This lead position is also involved with planning for the DVLED product line. This positionworks out of an at-home office, and travels throughout territorywith up to 50% travel to customers as required.

    Responsibilities

    + Responsible for supporting overall solution and technical sales efforts for product and vertical sales needs within territory.

    + Collaborate with existing account-assigned Sharp Representatives within territory and key verticals to provide technical product knowledge and support to close sales.

    + Engage with strategic end-user and global accounts, providing technical solution application and solution support as needed.

    + Support vertical sales efforts, providing solutions and applications.

    + Provide value by becoming the trusted advisor to customers.

    + Be the technical sales expert on key product lines, applications, and associated solutions within the vertical to support sales.

    + Lead sales presentations, vertical specific product demonstrations and solutions training.

    + Demonstrate dynamic presentation skills, driving attention to product and solution capabilities, presenting at all levels within customer organizations.

    + Assist in developing and executing a business plan including revenue and profit goals, targeting accounts, and carrying out marketing strategies.

    + Identify key prospects including decision makers from end users, AV partners, consultants, architects, and regional market makers in specific verticals who can provide sales pipeline of opportunities for our solutions.

    + Assist in targeting and developing net new customers through networking and prospecting tactics.

    + Assist in managing sales opportunities by providing information including but not limited to customer contact info, project details, and pipeline revenue in Salesforce.

    + Ensure adequate communication and consulting is provided to our customers to help close sales.

    + Assist in launching new vertical specific products and solutions. Includes training sales teams, performing product demonstrations, and reviewing product info with new and existing customers.

    + Perform and compete in product comparison demonstrations; making sure demo hardware and software are operating correctly and appropriate content is utilized to maximize success.

    + Familiarize key vertical alliance partners, 3 rd party products, as well as other complementary technologies to leverage Sharp into solutions projects.

    + Develop relationships with strategic vertical partners to maximize selling opportunities.

    + Maintain knowledge of industry and related competitive products and articulate differences to position Sharp products in the marketplace.

    + Collaborate with Sales Teams, Product Marketing, and Product Development departments to keep updated on the latest product knowledge, contribute to promotional offerings, specify product needs, and convey “voice of the customer”.

    + Prepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information plus engineering and application trends.

    + Facilitate Certified Technical Specialist (CTS) / American Institute of Architecture (AIA) level internal and external technical trainings for national audiences in a classroom/ lecture setting and or remote webinar.

    + Demonstrate effective planning and organizational skills for sales calls and manage time effectively.

    + Travel throughout territory – up to 50%.

    + Review AV, mechanical and electrical drawings in order to apply it to the installation, including computer-aided design (CAD), Microsoft Visio or other system design or renderings.

    + Work with Solutions Operation team to ensure adequate installation documentation and processes are in place.

    + Provide technical sales support for DVLED installation projects.

    + Field report on service or quality concerns and triage to appropriate level of user support.

    + Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Business or equivalent

    + Minimum 3 years’ experience with audiovisual systems and associated mechanical structures

    + Direct View LED product and AV system sales experience is highly preferred

    + Minimum 5 Years Outside Sales experience with an IT reseller, Pro A/V dealer, A/V consulting firm or manufacturer within the high-tech industry

    + Established experience in technical and solutions selling required

    + Proven ability to assess and prioritize sales opportunities, applications and needs

    + Demonstrated organization and analytical skills, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches

    + Excellent interpersonal, presentation & communication skills using MS Office 365 applications

    + Proven ability to communicate technical information to a wide audience

    + Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is a plus

    + CAD, Visio or System Design/Rendering is a plus

    + Salesforce or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) knowledge

    + Ability to perform physical activities such as but not limited to lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, balancing, walking, and stooping with heavy materials

    + Ability to travel up to 50%

    Compensation for this position

     

    The compensation range for this role is $90,000-$100,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
