The Training Specialist – Relationship Services position exists to perform highly complex duties and functions with responsibility in training, mentoring, and developing staff in the Relationship Services Department. Assists Information Support Specialists with projects, procedures, and responses to Family Help Specialists as needed. Requires only general direction and refers unusual or complex problems to supervisor.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assists in preparation and maintenance of department training material in accordance with procedures
Develops and presents appropriate training seminars
Trains, mentors, and schedules training for new and current staff, including one-on-one professional development as appropriate
Provides training and support to international offices and vendors as needed (and trains a trainer whenever possible)
Researches, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding complex phone, letter, e-mail, and social media responses
Responds to Family Help Specialist questions through Information Support email box, Information Support Salesforce queue, social media support platforms, and the Doclink mail and workflow system
Tests new and/or existing systems, applications, and websites
Provides follow-up support for Family Help Specialists in the interpretation of procedures related to the work done in Relationship Services
Interacts with other departments concerning response coordination and philosophy
Approves original writing when no prototypes are available
Monitors quality of written and/or verbal response and interacts with management as necessary
Performs training as necessary, including self-paced, classroom, and distance learning
Participates in regular team meetings
Negotiates with team to determine personal schedules, including vacations and seminars based on team workload requirements
Completes various projects for management as assigned
Participates in the interviewing process for potential Training Specialists
Participates in the interviewing process for potential Family Help Specialists
Develops new course content and appropriate training methodology
Develops and delivers course measures of success through course surveys/feedback
Develops lessons plans from course curriculum and procedures
Develops course curriculum in collaboration with Process Team
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Assists in the development of prototypes
Evaluates the quality of Family Help Specialist letter, phone, e-mail, and social media responses and interacts with management for feedback to staff
Responds to constituents' letters, phone calls, e-mails, chats, social media, and digital engagement posts as necessary
Participates in establishing and maintaining team goals and objectives in support of the process objectives for the team
Assists in the planning of training and mentoring assignments for various staff members
Assists in the writing and evaluation of assessments for potential Family Help Specialists
Works between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. as necessary
May be required to work some evening shifts in support of our international offices or vendors
May be called upon to develop and/or teach simple or extensive training projects for other departments on short notice
Performs other duties as assigned

Work schedules are subject to change
Occasional holiday and weekend work is required

Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
2-4 years of experience as Family Help Specialist at FOF
Previous experience as a trainer or educator preferred
Previous experience with Salesforce software preferred
In-depth knowledge of FOF mission philosophy, values, and objectives
In-depth knowledge of FOF standards for mail email and phone response, based on Relationship Services guidelines
In-depth knowledge of social media response and philosophy
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Teams, Word, and Excel

Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to function effectively in a team environment

Pay Range: $24.00 to $27.50/hr.
