    PURPOSE

    The Client Technologies Analyst, under general supervision, performs complex and non-routine specialized client technology support functions, such as troubleshooting, analysis, research, debugging, and problem-solving.

    DESCRIPTION

    Functional Area 1: Operations

    Percent Effort: 75%

    + Diagnoses and repairs hardware/software failures and conflicts. Installs, upgrades, and configures hardware and software. Facilitates new audio-visual setups, including application and data transfers, and user account information.

    + Utilizes complex software tools to maintain, configure, define security, and monitors audiovisual system life cycle. Establishes configuration baselines and maintains systems within defined parameters. Monitors and maintains system security. Provides protection and recovery support for client data.

    + Tracks and assists in the coordination of equipment repair work order assignments and provides detailed work records, which outlines the history of tests, performance problems, and repairs for each piece of equipment.

    + Attends training and assists in researching, testing, and disseminating operation instructions. Assists with the evaluation of new technologies to determine their applicability to clients’ needs.

    + Communicate effectively with IT support staff and team members

     

    Functional Area 2: Event Support

    Percent Effort: 15%

    + Supports Presidential and other special events for campus, including gathering audio video requirements, planning events, developing a support plan, and running audio video equipment for events.

    + On-call rotation for escalated issues that require support after hours. Work may require evening or weekend work, depending on the time of year and volume of work needed.

    + Provide training and guidance to faculty, staff, and other IT support team members

     

    Functional Area 3: Other

    Percent Effort: 10%

    + May coordinate the technical activities of a small project team. Assists and mentors’ other employees in resolving various issues.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.

    + Four (4) months of related experience in IT.

    + Additional experience/education may be used as a substitute for the minimum education/experience requirement.

    + High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years and f our (4) months of related experience in IT.

    + Associate degree and two (2) years and f our (4) months of related experience in IT.

    + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

    + Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + Course credit or certifications in Information Technology.

    + ITIL v4 certification

    + AVIXA, Crestron, AMX, or EXTRON certification(s).

    + University or IT experience.

     

    SALARY: Up to $4,069.87 monthly (Up to $48,838.44 Approx. Annually)
