The Sr Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) is a key leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a robust health, safety, and environmental compliance program at the Hauppauge site. This includes ensuring complete adherence to OSHA standards, leading emergency preparedness and safety training, managing industrial hygiene and exposure monitoring, and conducting internal audits. The role also oversees environmental compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including contingency planning and regulatory inspections. As part of the Site Leadership Team, this on-site position plays a critical role in protecting employees, maintaining operational integrity, and ensuring the company meets all legal and safety obligations. This position reports to the Hauppauge Plant Director and is part of the Site Leadership Team located in Hauppauge, NY, and will be an on-site role. What you will do: + Lead the execution of Cytiva’s EHS Management System by ensuring all health and safety procedures are implemented effectively and consistently across the Hauppauge site. + Identify and manage EHS risks through proactive tools like Management of Change reviews, Gemba Walks, and Hazard Recognition Exercises. Provide oversight for all construction and expansion projects to ensure safety compliance. + Collaborate with site leadership to ensure timely and practical training for associates and contractors, reinforcing a culture of safety and accountability. + Monitor and enforce compliance with safety protocols and ensure all required reporting and permitting are completed accurately and on time for city, state, and federal regulatory bodies. + Design and deliver training programs covering emergency response, workplace safety, and hazard prevention. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. + Manage the site’s radiation safety program, ensuring all practices meet regulatory standards and protect employee health. + Engage with the broader Cytiva EHS network to share best practices, align on standards, and contribute to continuous improvement across global sites. Who you are: + You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management, or a related field, or bring equivalent experience that demonstrates deep EHS expertise. + You have 5+ years of proven leadership in environmental and safety compliance within a manufacturing environment, with a strong track record of driving results. + You’re comfortable working across all levels of the organization, from frontline teams to senior leadership, and can build trust and influence effectively. + You bring hands-on knowledge of radiation safety programs and understand how to implement and monitor them in a regulated setting. + You’re well-versed in federal, state, and local EHS regulations, and know how to translate complex requirements into practical, actionable programs. + You’re a strong communicator, both written and verbal, and can lead training, investigations, and cross-functional collaboration with clarity and confidence. + You thrive in a team environment and can lead, motivate, and partner with others to elevate safety and environmental standards. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off and medical/dental/vision insurance, to eligible employees.
