SUMMARY Responsible for maintaining all current diets for patients to include updated information and patients specialized diet information. Setting up patient trays and making any necessary adjustments for all diet changes. Responsibilities also include answering telephone. This job requires direct contact with patients when permissible regarding individual patients’ nutritional requirements and/or preferences. RESPONSIBILITIES • Demonstrates competence to appropriately interact per position responsibilities with the following patient population: Adolescent (13 through 17 years); Adult (18 years to 65 years); Geriatric (over 65 years). • Implements patient information and diet orders from the Care Manager System into the CBORD computerized Diet Office system; updates card file and follows through as needed for each transaction. • Downloads patient menu information into the bedside menu entree system daily. Visits patients for menu selections. • Consults with patients for food preferences. Adjusts menu selections and CBORD preferences as appropriate. • Answers Diet Office telephones by assigned method. Relays calls, takes messages, and handles diet-related phone requests. • Synch palm pilot data per assigned method and inputs patient preference data into CBORD accurately. • Prints out tray tickets by production batch for all meals as directed by service schedule. • Prints out computerized production sheets by assigned method. • Generates computerized nourishment labels and reports. • Generates computerized host round sheets. • Checks tray line at assigned meals for accuracy, neatness and quality. • Assists dietitians as needed. • Logs in and out of all computer systems each morning & evening by assigned position. • In the event of computer failure, manually corrects menus using appropriate diet therapies based on the AnMed Nutrition Care Manual. • Assembles late trays as needed. • Is able to correctly replace laser printer cartridge and printer ribbon independently, as well as repair basic mechanical printer problems. • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS * Required qualifications include High School Education or equivalent Must have some computer keyboarding knowledge * Preferred qualifications include Knowledge of various therapeutic diets Benefits* • Medical Insurance & Wellness Offerings • Compensation, Retirement & Financial Planning • Free Financial Counseling • Work-Life Balance & Paid Time Off (PTO) • Professional Development • For more information, please visit: anmed.org/careers/benefits *Varied benefits packages are available to positions with a 0.6 FTE or higher
