SUMMARY
The Assembler is responsible for assembling metal components and fabricated parts according to blueprints and specifications. This role involves operating machinery, inspecting parts for quality, and ensuring that all assemblies meet production and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine assembly requirements.
+ Assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment (e.g., presses, drills, grinders).
+ Perform machine setups and operate multiple machines as needed to complete fabrication tasks.
+ Inspect parts and finished assemblies for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
+ Maintain accurate records of production output and report any issues or discrepancies.
+ Organize and maintain the supermarket parts to ensure efficient workflow.
+ Follow 5S and housekeeping standards to keep the work area clean and organized.
+ Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report malfunctions.
+ Meet daily production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and improve processes.
Required Skills and Abilities
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a fabrication or machining environment.
+ Proficient in reading blueprints and using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
+ Ability to set up jobs independently and operate fabrication machinery.
+ Familiarity with metalworking processes such as drilling, grinding, and deburring.
+ Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the shift.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
+ Basic computer skills for accessing work instructions and recording production data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Prior experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing assembly.
+ Knowledge of welding or resistance-welding processes is a plus.
+ Forklift certification or experience with material handling equipment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent, and two or more years of safety-related experience.
