    JOB SUMMARY

    The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for fostering a positive and productive work environment by managing employee relations matters with professionalism, empathy and discretion. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. This position is responsible for investigating workplace concerns, supporting performance management, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with organization policies and employment laws. They partner closely with HR leadership, managers, and team members to promote fair treatment, enhance team member engagement, ensure compliance and support organizational culture.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Serve as a trusted advisor to management and team members, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures and best practices.

    + Monitor workplace trends and provide insights to HR leadership to proactively address potential issues.

    + Lead the resolution of complex team member relations issues, conducting comprehensive and objective investigations.

    + Maintain expert level knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks. Partner with the Manager, HR, Director, HR and AVP, HR as appropriate.

    + Provides day-to-day performance management support to leaders, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary guidance. Review and revise corrective action documentation to ensure consistency, fairness, and accurate issue representation.

    + Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into workplace concerns, documenting findings and recommending appropriate actions.

    + Collaborate with legal and compliance teams as needed to address complex or sensitive matters.

    + Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of employee relations cases ensuring timely resolution.

    + Foster strong working relationships across teams to enhance morale, productivity and retention.

    + Identifies training needs at both the team and individual level and delivers targeted coaching and development opportunities.

    + Assist in developing and delivering training on topics such as conflict resolution, workplace conduct, and respectful communication.

    + Lead the administration and ongoing enhancement of the performance appraisal process, ensuring it aligns with organizational goals, fosters team member development, and supports a culture of accountability and growth.

    + Track and manage compliance for critical tasks including overdue trainings, IT security requirements, and performance appraisal deadlines ensuring timely completion and adherence to established expectations. Proactively follow up with reminders and initiate corrective actions when non-compliance is identified, promoting accountability and maintaining operational standards.

    + Partners with HR team to deliver customized programs and services to the business in the areas of organizational development, performance management, compensation, team member relations, and staffing.

    + Answers team member inquiries, including responding to mail, email (direct and via the HR inboxes) and calls.

    + Work collaboratively with Learning & Development to ensure all HR related trainings are relevant, effective and fulfill any applicable legal requirements.

    + Contributes to the development and refinement of HR policies, standard operating procedures and best practices within the HR team.

    + Evaluate existing HR workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for enhancement. Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce redundancies, and improve overall effectiveness.

    + Responsible for effective communication, as needed, within the HR Department and Organization-Wide, with respect to HR initiatives being conducted by the HRBP.

    + Ensures HR practices are aligned with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the Company.

    + Support stay and exit interview process in collaboration with the Engagement team to include analyzing results and follow-up to appropriate individuals.

    + Maintain a regular HR presence at satellite offices, in person, to support team member engagement and accessibility.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    + Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations and HR best practices

    + Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, and high priority projects with varying deadlines

    + Independence while working effectively and collaboratively within the team

    + Demonstrated prior experience with managing and delivering long- and short-term initiatives through project plans for successful closure

    + Creative thinking and problem solving, showing innovation and ability with organizational diagnosis and solution generation

    + Excellent organization, time-management, task prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively maneuver in a very fast paced and diverse environment.

    + Ability to exercise independent judgment

    + Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

    + Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization.

    + Proficiency in Windows - Word, Excel, and Power Point

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

    + Proficiency in developing reports to meet the needs of the Human Resources department

    + Ability to present various aspects of Human Resources to business and team members

    + Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Ability to prioritize workload

    + Ability to function well in fast paced environment

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    .

     

    + Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Human Resources or related field preferred

    + 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, conflict resolution, or HR compliance, required.

    + Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing sensitive employee matters, required.

    + Professional HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR) preferred
