As a **Security Officer – Tech Campus Patrols FT** in **Austin, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech and media location. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service to staff and visitors. You will interact regularly with others, address concerns as they arise, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.

+ Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and employees, offering assistance as needed.

+ Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal guidelines.

+ Remain alert to surroundings and potential security-related risks within a tech, media, or telecom environment.

+ Assist with access control, verifying identification, and monitoring entry points as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.

+ Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

+ CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
