As a **Security Officer – Armed Patrol Financial Site** in **Birmingham, AL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and staying visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will support a secure environment for employees, members, and visitors. You will engage with everyone on site, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

+ Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies and protocols, and, when appropriate, responding to emergencies at financial institution locations.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site protocols.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergency response situations.

+ Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to remain current with security-related practices and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
