What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any irregularities.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter potential theft and/or suspicious behavior within the retail environment.

+ Document and report any incidents, observations, and/or maintenance needs according to Allied Universal guidelines.

+ Work collaboratively with site staff and law enforcement when necessary to address incidents and/or emergencies.

+ Provide visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and to assist customers and employees as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ A valid security-related guard card or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
